MEWA was born on 5th of March 1996 at 8.30 PM. Though the name represents Educational and Welfare association, MEWA is concentrating mainly on Education (research), of course on cultural too.
As regards cultural activities are concerned MEWA organizes cultural programmes either during the School programme or also doing special programmes of Kerala by budding artists and Vidyaniketan English School students. Karnataka Sangeeth, Bharatha Natyam (classical dance) classes etc., are conducted at MEWA on a reasonable cost.
MEWA ie., Malanad Educational and Welfare Association is a Charitable Public Trust registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 vide registration no. F/5365/THN.
The said trust was established in 1996 with the primary objective to give filip to quality education and provide a platform to the budding aspirants in various fields of cultural and social activities.
It is our endeavour to make education affordable to the less fortunate children who are otherwise denied or deprived of quality education on account of spiraling cost of quality education.
